Generally required exhaust pressure (above 5~10bar) is usually oil-lubricated air compressors, screw air compressors (above 3~300HP), scroll air compressors (3~30HP), gradually replacing traditional piston air compressors (with large vibration, high noise, high exhaust temperature, high exhaust oil content, discontinuous air supply, large exhaust pressure pulsation, long air pumping time, low efficiency, unable to operate continuously at full load for a long time, wear during the compression process, resulting in many vulnerable parts, and frequent maintenance, but with the advantage of being more economical in price). 


In terms of energy conservation, new first-class energy-efficient air compressors (high isentropic efficiency, more power-saving) are gradually replacing old air compressors that have no isentropic efficiency marking on the air compressor nameplate and have not passed the energy efficiency test (low isentropic efficiency, more power consumption). The drive method of the compressor body of the air compressor is directly connected to the drive (such as coaxial type, or using a coupling), gradually replacing the traditional belt drive (the belt will wear out, resulting in loss of transmission efficiency, so it needs to be calibrated, adjusted, and replaced regularly, otherwise the belt may break.). The motor of the air compressor adopts a high-efficiency motor (such as IE3, IE4 or IE5. IE3 motor has become the minimum energy efficiency standard in many countries, such as the United States, Japan, the European Union, Taiwan, etc. IE6 is currently the highest energy efficiency standard for motors.


New air compressors using high-efficiency motors are gradually replacing old air compressors with low-efficiency motors that do not have any energy efficiency certification on the motor nameplate. In terms of energy saving, variable frequency screw air compressors are gradually becoming popular. They use the inverter to directly start, reduce the starting current of the air compressor motor, reduce the speed of the compressor body when the air consumption is low or unloading, reduce power consumption, save energy, and at the same time use speed control to maintain the exhaust pressure of the air compressor constant. The scroll air compressor uses the start-stop control principle to directly start the motor to control the scroll compressor body to pump air, and directly stop the motor to stop the compressor body from pumping air. It does not require the unloading control of general air compressors, saving electricity and energy. The noise problem generated when the air compressor is running. The scroll air compressor has low operating noise (generally less than 60dB, and the highest technology in the market can reduce the noise to less than 45dB), and has less vibration. It is suitable for densely populated areas, or companies, factories or laboratories without air compressor rooms, etc., which directly reduces the negative impact of noise on the environment and personnel. The air compressor can be planned to be placed at the production site without worrying about noise problems.
